Named after the the immovable concrete rock that resides plum in the middle of the brewery, ‘Stubborn Rock’ is Whitstable Oyster Brewings interpretation of an old school west coast IPA.
The result is a glorious golden beer that has notes of fresh honey and spruce tips up front followed pithy orange marmalade with a dry, bitter finish.Unlike the rock, this beer does not hang around for long.
Brewed with a blend of crystal malts and finest barley creating a beer with a deep orange hue. Using Centennial, Citra 702, Columbus Cryo and Mosaic Cryo Fresh on the hot side to add a hefty dose of bitterness and lay the foundation for a substantial dry hop of Chinook, Amarillo and Simcoe hops.
