Oyster Country, Oyster Stout, is the house stout from Whitstable Oyster Brewing.
Maris Otter malt is blended with 8 malts creating a dark beer with notes of nutty biscuits, dark berries and coffee.
Kentish Fuggles and Challenger hops are added during the boil add notes of nettle and spice and moderate bitterness. A hefty amount of Whitstable Rock Oysters are also added during the boil, leading to subtle minerality and salinity.
Whitstable Oyster Brewery is a small batch nano brewery dedicated to producing excellent beers in the heart of the handsome coastal town of Whitstable, Kent. They produce a broad range of styles but are best known for their Oyster Stouts brewed with premium roasted malts, Kentish hops and of course, whole Whitstable oysters!
You can also sample their brews at their own taprooms , ‘The Sea Farmer’s Dive’ located on Whitstable beachfront right nextdoor to the brewery, and ‘The Creeker’s in the neighbouring market town of Faversham.
