Whitstable Oyster Brewery - Cross Bones - Double English Brown Ale
8.4% ABV - 440ml Can -
This is a collaboration brew from Whitstable Oyster Brewery and friends from Moot Brew in Rochester, and It's safe to say they brewed up an absolute storm!
Inspired by historic malt driven brown ales and wanting something different for the autumn season they have doubled this up to a hefty 8.2% abv, shiver me timbers!!
Whitstable Oyster Brewery is a small batch nano brewery dedicated to producing excellent beers in the heart of the handsome coastal town of Whitstable, Kent. They produce a broad range of styles but are best known for their Oyster Stouts brewed with premium roasted malts, Kentish hops and of course, whole Whitstable oysters!
You can also sample their brews at their own taprooms , ‘The Sea Farmer’s Dive’ located on Whitstable beachfront right nextdoor to the brewery, and ‘The Creeker’s in the neighbouring market town of Faversham.
Dark, mahogany brown with dense tan foam. Bold aroma and flavours of toasted caramel nuts, charred coffee and rum raisin. A nitro serve gives a smooth texture with adequately bitter, dry finish. A pirate's dream!
