Horsa lager is caramelblonde in colour with a light toffee and fruit flavour from the malts.
Hops: Kent grown Endeavour, Toyomodori.
Hop flavours and aromas: Berry and citrus fruits, mild spice.
Behind The Name
According to legend, Horsa and his brother Hengist, were the leaders of the first Anglo Saxon settlers in Britain. They landed during the fifth century and established ,the Kingdom of Kent, after defeating Vortigern, the King of the Britons.
Meet The Brewery
Tonbridge Brewery was established in 2010, since then they have developed a wide range of traditional style and contemporary ales and lagers.
Tonbridge Brewery uses only high quality malted barley and hops (predominantly Kentish), and a live yeast that is unique to Tonbridge beers. Being live, rather than dried, the yeast contributes to a full, smooth flavour.
Tonbridge Brewery are members of SIBA (Society of Independent Brewers) and are accredited by SALSA, which requires them to meet high standards in production processes, hygiene, product safety and quality control
All of the Tonbridge brewery beers are certified as being GLUTEN FREE by an independent UKAS accredited laboratory. They are also suitable for vegans.
