Harvey's Brewery - Porter

Harvey's Brewery - Porter

4.8%abv - 500ml Bottle - £4

A complex, dark and full-bodied beer, Harvey's Victorian style Porter is brimming with roasted malts, reminiscent of date sugars and a restrained fruitiness.

Brewed to Henry Harvey's 1859 recipe we use pale, crystal and black malt combined with a generous hop grist of Fuggles and Goldings, for a full finish and a creamy head.

Food Pairing - Portobello Mushroom Burger, Steak & Ale Pie, Stilton Cheese

Meet The Brewery

Harvey's Brewing is best known for Harvey's Best Bitter and takes great pride in craft brewing as a Regional Brewer.

Harvey’s Brewery is the oldest independent brewery in Sussex. Harvey's prides itself as a family business, and the brewery has been in the custodianship of John Harvey’s descendants since 1790, with family members from the seventh and eighth generations working there today, with four ninth generation descendants (aged five and under), which provides plenty of scope for the continuation of Harvey's as an independent family business for generations to come.
